This young songwriter began performing in her church at the age of seven. Being brought up by a strong Christian family influenced her lyrics considerably. Caitlyn Smith writes about her faith and of her life experiences, and her songwriting reveals a depth of insight as well as a mature artistry in crafting lyrics and melodies.

Fort Wilson Riot was formed in the summer of 2004. It features Joe Goggins on bass, Jacob Mullis on guitar, Amy on guitar and percussionist Ben Smith.
